Event description

Abstract Autumn Deer

Tuesday 1st October

Ottoman Kitchen in Woburn Sands

Something totally new here, an Autumn painting done with a painting knife and 1 brush

Come to the  Ottoman Kitchen in Woburn Sands on Tuesday 1st October and paint “Abstract Autumn Deer”.

Tickets are £31.00 downwards, and at the end of the evening you will take away your own personal masterpiece. The ticket price includes ALL materials and equipment, and you will be able to purchase an optional frame for £15.00 if you want. You will also get a free drink.

It doesn’t matter in the least if you haven’t picked up a paint brush for years, or even a knife before, because you will walk away with your own unique piece of artwork. Our resident artist will take you, step-by-step, through the process of turning your blank canvas into your own personal masterpiece. With a glass in one hand, and a paintbrush (or a cotton bud) in the other, your skills will transfer painlessly to the canvas on your easel. So power up your inner Picasso and come and join us.

We provide everything that you need…… a 35cm x 45cm  canvas, or canvas board, easel, brushes, paints, aprons, music and a great atmosphere where you can create to your heart’s content.

What You Will Learn

As well as being a social event, it is also a creative learning event and it will help you help your younger relatives come top of the class in art. You will paint an abstract background with a painting knife (shades of Bob Ross here), and use the wet-on-wet technique to apply a lot of wet paint on to wet paint.

Tickets for Abstract Autumn Deer

Tickets are from £31.00 and a quantity discount applies.  The ticket price DOES include a drink. More drinks and food can be bought at the bar, and of course the Ottoman Kitchen has a great menu. The ticket price includes ALL materials and equipment, at the end of the evening you will take away your own personal masterpiece. You will be able to purchase an optional frame for £15.00 if you want. Be warned, the setup of the venue does NOT lend itself to a full scale meal whilst painting, but finger food is easily accommodated.

Abstract Autumn Deer – Do It Your Way

No experience required. Follow along with our simple step by step instructions or go with your own creative flow and do your own thing. We’ll be there to offer guidance if you need it! You can interpret our guidance in any way you like. If you want to change the colours to suit your home décor, then feel free to do so – bring some of your own wall paint if you want. You will be given options of different colour schemes, but it is the combinations of browns, blacks, reds, greens and white that makes this painting so striking. It is great when people do their own thing, we love it when we learn a new way to do something.

The event starts at 18.30 pm but it helps if you arrive around 15 minutes early to grab a seat, grab a drink and grab an easel. We start at 18.30, and will definitely by finished by 21.30.

Although we provide aprons, it might be worth wearing old clothes (just in case).

Special Note
