Paint Your Pet. Come to the The Flying Fox, Hockcliffe, on Tuesday 18th June and “Paint Your Pet”. You email me  a picture of your furry family member (or any animal you like) and I will turn it into a traceable AND a Paint By Numbers for you. You trace it through to your canvas, and I will take you step-by-step through the process of turning it into your own Pet Portrait. Paint it Realistic, Abstract or Impressionist – your choice. 

It will be on an A3 (420mm x 297mm) canvas or board  A memorable piece of art that will look good on your wall. You will also have FREE a Paint by Numbers canvas sheet of your pet to take home with you. Furthermore, our Paint Your Pet By Numbers product is nearly here. 

There will be £3.00 off each bottle of wine sold to attendees.

Tickets are £31.00 downwards, and at the end of the evening you will take away your own personal masterpiece. The ticket price includes ALL materials and equipment, and you will be able to purchase an optional frame for £15.00 if you want.

It doesn’t matter in the least if you haven’t picked up a paint brush for years, because you will walk away with your own unique piece of artwork. Our resident artist will take you, step-by-step, through the process of turning your blank canvas into your own personal masterpiece. With a glass in one hand, and a paintbrush (or a cotton bud) in the other, your skills will transfer painlessly to the canvas on your easel. So power up your inner Picasso and come and join us.

What I Need

I need a high quality picture of your pet, or other furry creature you would like to paint, and you can email it to me; Russell Collins  It needs to be a large image that has good reproduction of the head and shoulders area as I will crop the image to concentrate on the head. The photograph needs to show the eyes clearly and have no harsh shadows on it. It also needs to have some good detail on the fur. If the pet is all black then it needs some highlights on it, and if white some shadows.

We provide everything that you need…… an A3  canvas or board, easel, brushes, paints, aprons, music and a great atmosphere where you can create to your heart’s content.

What You Will Learn

As well as being a social event, it is also a creative learning event and it will help you help your younger relatives come top of the class in art. You’ll will trace through the image and then paint. You can be Realist, Surrealist, Impressionist, Abstract – your choice.

Tickets for Paint Your Pet

Tickets are from £31.00 and a quantity discount applies. The ticket price does NOT include refreshments, but drinks and food can be bought at the bar, and of course the Flying Fox has a great Tapas menu. The ticket price includes ALL materials and equipment, and at the end of the evening you will take away your own personal masterpiece. You will be able to purchase an optional frame for £15.00 if you want. Be warned, the setup of the venue does NOT lend itself to a full scale meal whilst painting, but Tapas finger food is easily accommodated, AND attendees get £3.00 off a bottle of wine.

Paint Your Pet – Do It Your Way

As well as being a social event, it is also a creative learning event and it will help you help your younger relatives come top of the class in art. You’ll will trace through the image and then paint. You can be Realist, Surrealist, Impressionist, Abstract – your choice.

We’re only going to guide you, we’re not going to instruct you. If you want to do it your own way, then feel free – You can interpret our guidance in any way you like. If you want to change the colours to suit your home décor, then feel free to do so – bring some of your own wall paint if you want. We think though that the lovely colour effects effects makes this painting. It is great when people do their own thing, we love it when we learn a new way to do something. 

The event starts at 6.30 pm but it helps if you arrive around 15 minutes early to grab a seat, grab a drink and grab an easel. We start at 6.30 pm, and will definitely by finished by 21.30 pm.

Although we provide aprons, it might be worth wearing old clothes (just in case).

Special Notes

It’s £3.00 off a bottle of wine on the evening, but you must order from your easel. Tickets for Paint Your Pet start at £31.00, and a quantity discount applies. It will be the Tapas menu only for food during the event.

There is plenty of car parking at The Flying Fox.

Amazing Artist Scheme

We now have our Amazing Artist scheme. We give you a card and we stamp it for every event you come to, including our day events. When you have 8 stamps we give you your next Paint Night free. It is our way of saying Thank You.

A Paint Night Party is a social event first, and an art lesson second. It’s Fun Art set to music, not Fine Art done dull.
