TBC – The Road Through Howe Park  Woods – In The Bob Ross Style

We still need to finalise the actual date for Howe Park Woods, so fill out our contact box and we will get back to you when we have the date and venue.

They shut the road through Howe Park Woods, seventy years ago.
Weather and rain have undone it again, and now you would never know
There was once a road through the woods before they planted the trees.
It is underneath the coppice and heath and the thin anemones.
Only the keeper sees that, where the ring-dove broods,
And the badgers roll at ease, there was once a road through the woods.

Something different this time, A full painting day using oil paints, and painted in the Bob Ross style.

It doesn’t matter in the least if you haven’t picked up a paint brush for years, because you will walk away with your own unique piece of artwork. Our resident artist will take you, step-by-step, though then process of turning your blank canvas into your own special masterpiece. With a glass in one hand, and a paintbrush in the other, your skills will transfer painlessly to the canvas on your easel.

We provide everything that you need…… a 40cm x 80cm canvas, easel, brushes, paints, aprons, music and a great atmosphere where you can create to your heart’s content.

We’re only going to guide you, we’re not going to instruct you. If you want to do it your own way, then feel free. You can interpret our guidance in any way you like. If you want to change the colours to suit your home décor, then feel free to do so. We think though that the glazed monochrome simplicity is what makes this painting. It is great when people do their own thing, we love it when we learn a new way to do something.

The event starts at 10:00 am but it helps if you arrive around 15 minutes early to grab a seat, grab a drink and grab an easel. We start at 10:00, and will definitely by finished by 16.30.

Although we provide aprons, it might be worth wearing old clothes (just in case).
