Paint Like Jack Vettriano – Subject Models Required
Paint Like Jack Vettriano. As stated on the Facebook post, I run Paint Nights in Pubs and Restaurants around Milton Keynes. People buy tickets, come along, have a couple of drinks and a good time as they paint a painting. I provide ALL equipment and materials, and you don’t need ANY experience AT ALL. At the end of the evening, you take your painting away with you.
I’m running a few “themes” this year, and one of them will be “Paint Like”, some well know artists. “Paint Like Van Gogh”, “Paint Like Monet”, etc. One of the evenings will be “Paint Like Jack Vettriano”. I will need some dancer models for this, who can provide a suitable photograph that I can use as a subject for people to paint.
Jack Vettriano 
did a number of paintings of dancers in surreal situations such as these. What I need is the dancer photograph – Butler Optional – and I can do the rest. I would be very grateful for anyone to dress up and photograph themselves in this way and email it to me Russell Collins. Then, I will have the difficulty of making a choice about which one would be the best and do a couple of trial paintings. I would then use that photograph as the subject for the Paint Night.
The Requirements.
Take a look at the photographs, and others that you could Google. I would need a full height image – no cut off hands, legs etc and in a dancer’s pose, preferably Ballroom style, but happy to try another pose. Formal atire is a must – I need somethng classy, and trousers and gowns are easier to paint than arms and legs. You will need to be facing slightly away from the camera, as full facial features will take too long to paint.

I will give you 2 free seats at the Paint Night and also give you a frame that you can put your art in. It would be a good laugh if you could arrive in the outfits you wore for the photograph. I wouldn’t expect you to wear them whilst painting though.
Model Release Form For Jack Vetriano Image
You would need to sign a model release form and this is standard procedure in the visual arts sector. A Model Release form protects both sides (the subject and the artists). The Model Release Form lays down the conditions under which the image is made available. It makes it clear who owns the image, its copyright and reproduction rights (you would), and what it is to be used for. The Form also makes clear who owns the painted version of the image, its copyright and reproduction rights (I would). It is a legally binding document and could only be cancelled with the agreement of both sides.
